Aircore Drilling

What is Aircore Drilling?

Aircore drilling uses bladed bits to drill unconsolidated and semi-consolidated Formations such as weathered regolith (loose, heterogeneous material covering solid rock). The airflow utilized in this method of drilling is similar to reverse circulation however the drill bit only utilized rotational motion in the case of aircore drilling.

Benefits:

Applications:

Ideal for use in poorly consolidated geologies to establish pilot holes for raise bore machines, drilling large diameter blast holes and drilling for samples from poorly consolidated mine dumps and tailings.
