Position : Contracts Manager
We have a vacancy for a Contracts Manager in our raise boring Operations. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing, coordinating and controlling raise boring’ exploration operations in their designated area of responsibility.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Supervising and controlling all subordinates in their area of responsibility
- Promoting and maintaining the company’s occupational health and safety programme to ensure a safe and healthy
work environment - Ensuring adherence to all requirements as set out in risk assessment
- Ensuring compliance as per ISO documentation
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is done and submitted on time
- Monitoring and correcting project program
- Verifying correctness of all information communicated to client and head office
- Analyzing daily delays experienced and possible delays
- Monitoring progressive utilization
- Checking progressive revenue, cost and profit against budget
- Authorizing and controlling overtime
- Submitting invoices to clients and following up
- Ensuring job training is dynamic and on-going and evaluated on a regular basis
- Ensuring the client signs off production report daily
- Liaising with relevant production managers at least once a week
- Attending planning meetings weekly at each mine in area of responsibility
- Visiting shaft in area of responsibility where no contracts are in place with the intention to obtain new work
Qualifications and experience:
- Fluent in English
- Grade 12 and University Degree/ National Diploma
- 3 years Managerial experience inthe mining industry
- Raise boring experience
Added advantages:
- Good understanding of ISO 9001
