Wernich is currently responsible for commercial and marketing activities across the exploration business at Master Drilling Exploration (MDX). Prior to joining the company, he worked as a senior exploration geologist at both Glencore/Xstrata in Mauritania, and at Minrom Consulting. Wernich also has extensive experience in academia, having lectured at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. In addition, he is a professional member of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA).
