Position : Assistant Group Management Accountant

The purpose of the position is to ensure that the financial statements of Master Drilling Group Ltd, presents fairly, in all material aspects the financial position of the group, its financial performance and its cash flows in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The Assistant Group Management Accountant is to ensure that the Group Annual Financial Statements and result publications adhere to JSE and related listing requirements. The Assistant Group Management Accountant is required to develop and monitor the implementation of the financial strategy and policies as directed by the Board, to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local laws and legislation. The Assistant Group Management Accountant will be required to interpret and analyse financial information, to report financial information against strategic outcomes and perform scenario planning. The Assistant Group Management Accountant will be required to implement processes to enable continuous improvement of financial reporting quality and timeliness, monitor statutory compliance of entities within the group and support entity level financial management.

Qualifications and experience:

  • CA (SA)
  • Consolidations
  • Working together with internal and external auditors
  • 3 – 5 years auditing, advisory or commercial experience.
  • Computer literate specifically with regards to MS Office, specific focus on Excel, PowerPoint
